Just like Lil Kesh, Adekunle Gold is apparently being readied to leave Olamide’s YBNL and set up his own record label. This is in line with Olamide’s vision, which is to sign an artiste for 2 years and releasing them afterwards to go do their thing- record music on their own, sign new artistes and just be their own boss. Although, they will receive minimal guidance from YBNL.
Lil Kesh got signed to YBNL in April 2014 and in April 2016, his contract wasn’t renewed. Adekunle Gold’s debut album, is said to be titled GOLD and will be released in June, 2016 after which he will take a bow from the label, to set up his own which will also be called GOLD Records.
